Report Generation

1. Overview of the Download Report Section

The Analytics Report Page enables users to generate, manage, and download customized reports based on specific categories and time periods. This feature helps in tracking system performance, compliance monitoring, and troubleshooting by providing detailed execution insights.

Key Information Available in This Section:

Report Categories (Available via Dropdown Selection)
Users can generate reports based on the following categories:

• Rules → Actions attempted under defined system rules.
• Action Row → Execution details for each attempted action.
• Admin Action → Actions that required administrator intervention.
• Agent Version → System agent version details for tracking software consistency.
• Action Summary → Overall execution trends of system rules.
• Hosts → Host-based execution activity tracking.
• Action Host Summary → Detailed action logs across host systems.

Report Generation Process

1. Select Report Category → Choose a specific category from the dropdown.
   
2. Define Date Range → Pick the desired start and end dates for report generation.
   
3. Generate Report → Click the “Generate” button to initiate report processing.
   
4. Monitor Report Status → The Status column updates from “Processing” to “Completed” once ready.
   
5. Download or Delete Reports → Use the Download button to save the report or Remove to delete it.

Report Table Details
Each generated report is listed in a table with the following columns:

• File Name → The assigned name of the report.
• Date Time → The timestamp when the report was generated.
• Status  → Indicates whether the report is still processing or completed.
• Action Options
• Download→ Saves the report for local access.
• Remove  → Deletes the report from the system.

2. How to Generate a Report for a Specific Category & Date Range?

Follow these steps to create a customized report:

1. Navigate to the Analytics Report Page.
2. Select a Report Category → Choose a specific report type from the dropdown list.
   • Alternatively, select “All Categories” for a comprehensive report.
3. Specify the Date Range→ Use the date picker to define the reporting period.
4. Click “Generate” → The system will begin processing the report.
5. Monitor the Status Column:
   • Processing → Report is being generated.
   • Completed → Report is ready for download.
6. Download or Remove the Report  → Once completed, use the available action buttons.

3. What Does the “Status” Field Indicate?

The Status column helps track the progress of the report:

• Processing  → The system is still compiling data for the report.
• Completed  → The report has been successfully generated and is available for download.

4. What’s the Difference Between Reports With & Without Master Data?

With Master Data → Generates one Excel sheet with category-specific data, such as:

• Search String
• User Name
• Source (App/Online)
• Facility
• Last Modified Date & Time

Without Master Data → Generates two Excel sheets for more detailed insights:

• Sheet 1 → Contains the same basic category-specific data as the “with master data” report.
• Sheet 2 → Adds system/device-level details, such as:
  • Host Name
  • IP Address
  • Serial Number
  • Installed On (Date of software installation)
  • Last Activity (Last recorded action on the system)
  • Additional system metadata
