The App Analytics section includes various data points to help track and manage app deployment effectively.

1.1 Host Information

This section provides a comprehensive view of the devices where the app is installed, including:

• Host Name: Unique identifier of the device.
• Installed Version: Shows the app version running on the device.
• Update Status: Indicates if the app is updated or outdated.

1.2 User Activity & Engagement

• Tracks the number of active users interacting with the app.
• Identifies users facing issues with outdated versions.

1.3 App Version Distribution

• Displays a list of all installed versions across different hosts.
• Highlights the latest available version to track adoption and compliance.

1.4 Activity Timeline

Maintains a log of key events to track app performance and user engagement:

• Last Activity Date: The most recent interaction with the app.
• Installation Date: The date when the app was installed on the host.
• IP Address & Facility: Network and organizational details for monitoring usage.

1.5 Updated Host Count

• Displays the total number of devices that have successfully upgraded to the latest version.
• Helps IT teams track update progress across all devices.

3. How to Update Hosts to the Latest App Version?

To ensure devices remain up to date, updates can be automated using a built-in update mechanism.

3.1 Automatic Update Process

1. Ensure Device Connectivity
   • The device (host) must be connected to the network for updates to be applied.
2. Leverage the Auto-Updater Mechanism
   • The techselfsupport.zip updater file is pre-configured to detect outdated hosts and trigger the update process.
3. Seamless & Unattended Updates
   • Once a host is online, the updater runs automatically, applying the latest version without manual intervention.

4. How to Manually Update the App via the Admin Console?

For environments where automatic updates are not feasible, administrators can manually update the app via the Admin Console.

4.1 Steps to Perform a Manual Update

1. Access the Admin Console
   • Navigate to the Self-Help Section and open the Admin Console.
2. Locate the Update Section
   • Find the “Update Self-Help App” section to manage updates.
3. Initiate a New Version Update
   • Click “+Version” at the top-right of the page to open the update form.
4. Complete the Update Form
   • Version Number: Enter the latest version number.
   • Upload File: Attach the techselfsupport.zip updater file.
   • Select Facility: Choose the relevant department or facility for deployment.
   • Publish Update: Set Publish = Yes to roll out the update.
5. Confirm & Track Deployment
   • Click Submit to apply the update.
   • Use the App Analytics Page to verify that hosts are upgrading successfully.
