Device performance monitoring involves tracking various metrics related to the operation and reliability of devices within a network. This monitoring helps identify potential issues, optimize performance, and ensure that devices are functioning as expected.
When monitoring device performance, several critical pieces of information are collected:
Host ID: A unique identifier for each device, allowing for easy differentiation between devices in a network.
Username: The name of the user associated with the device, helping to identify who is using the system.
Hostname: The name assigned to the device or machine, used for identification on the network.
Boot Time (sec): The time (in seconds) it takes for the device to complete the boot process. This metric helps assess startup efficiency.
Reliability Score: A score reflecting the overall reliability of the device. Some devices may not have a score listed, but it provides insight into performance stability.
Last Time Restarted On: The most recent time the device was restarted, which can help identify how long the device has been running without a reboot.
Last BSOD (Blue Screen of Death): The date and time of the last system crash, if applicable. This information is crucial for diagnosing stability issues.
BSOD Message: The error message related to the last Blue Screen of Death, indicating the type of crash and potential causes.
Total Application Error: The number of application errors recorded for the device, which can indicate software stability issues.
Updated Date: The timestamp of the last update or check of the device’s performance status, ensuring that users have the most current data.
