The Essential Services page provides details about the services running on various devices within a network. It includes key information such as the Host ID, Username, Hostname, Service Name, Running Status, a brief description of the service, Startup Type, and the Last Updated Date.

Information Available in this Section

This section provides the following details for each essential service:

• Host ID: A unique identifier for the host device, which distinguishes different devices within the network.
• Username: The user associated with the device, identifying who owns or uses the system.
• Hostname: The name of the host or the specific machine where the service is running, allowing identification of the device on the network.
• Services: The names of the essential services being monitored on each host (e.g., AnyDesk, CryptSvc).
• Is Running: A status indicator showing whether the service is currently active or not, crucial for ensuring the functionality of required services.
• Description: A brief explanation of what each service does (e.g., CryptSvc provides cryptographic security features).
• Startup Type: Indicates how the service starts (e.g., Auto, Manual, or Disabled). Auto ensures that the service starts automatically with the system.
• Group: Used to categorize or group services under a common label, though some services may have “NA” if no group is defined.
• Updated Date: The date when the service status was last updated, providing administrators with the latest information.

Search Field Functionality

To quickly find specific service details, a search field is available for filtering data based on hostname or username.

Steps to Use the Search Field:

1. Enter a hostname or username in the search field to look for specific service details.
2. View the displayed information, including Host ID, Username, Hostname, Services, Running Status, Description, Startup Type, Group, and Updated Date.
3. Clear Search by clicking the Clear button if you want to search for another device or user.
4. Repeat the search as needed by entering a new hostname or username.

How to Use Essential Services Monitoring

1. Identify Critical Services: Ensure that necessary services such as antivirus, Windows Update, and system protection tools are active.
2. Regularly Check Service Status: Monitor running and stopped services to detect issues early.
3. Take Action on Stopped Services: If a crucial service is not running, restart it or investigate the cause.
4. Ensure Compliance: Verify that all devices follow organizational security policies by keeping essential services enabled.
