Managing Home Page Elements

The Home Page customization feature allows administrators to modify key elements for a seamless user experience and improved branding. This customization is divided into two sections:

• Customize Page – Configures the search bar, guiding steps, category labels, and text colors. Administrators can modify elements like search headings, dropdown options, placeholder text, and visual styles.
• Customize Header & Footer – Manages dashboard section labels, support categories, logout and feedback options, copyright text, and the Home Page title.

Each section contains a single row, making updates simple and ensuring branding consistency.

What Information is Available in This Section?

1. Customize Page Section

Search Head – The title above the search bar (e.g., “Self-Help Service”).
Search Body – A brief description below the title (e.g., “Helps you resolve your problem by yourself.”).
Search Dropdown Default – The default category selection (e.g., “All Categories”).
Search Placeholder – Placeholder text inside the search bar (e.g., “What do you need help with?”).
Search Head-Body Color – Customizable color for the search title and description (e.g., #ff0000).
Stepper Details – Step-by-step user guidance:

• Step 1: Search for a solution.
• Step 2: Download and run the solution.
• Step 3: Resolve the issue independently.
  Category Stream – Text label for category selection (e.g., “Choose a category to get the best help for your issue.”).
  Solution Stream – Label for frequently used solutions (e.g., “Most Frequently Used Solutions.”).
  Text Color – Customizable text color (e.g., #ff0000).
  Active Status – Indicates whether the configuration is currently applied (e.g., True).

2. Customize Header & Footer Section

Dashboard – Customizable dashboard title (e.g., “Dashboard”).
Support Category – Label for support categories (e.g., “Support Categories”).
Logout & Feedback – Labels for logout and feedback buttons.
Copyright Text – Footer text (e.g., “Anakage Technologies Pvt Ltd”).
Page Title – Title displayed on the Home Page (e.g., “Self-Help Portal”).
Active Status – Indicates if the configuration is active (e.g., True).

How to Update the Search Section of the Home Page?

Access the Customization Page

• Navigate to “Customize – Pages” in the Content Management menu.

Edit the Existing Entry

• Locate the Search section in the table and click “Edit” to open the update form.

Update the Fields

• Search Head* – Modify the title (e.g., “Self-Help Service”).
• Search Body* – Edit the description (e.g., “Helps you resolve your problem by yourself.”).
• Search Head-Body Color* – Choose a color (e.g., #ff0000).
• Search Dropdown* – Set the default category selection (e.g., “All Categories”).
• Search Placeholder* – Update the placeholder text (e.g., “What do you need help with?”).
• Stepper Details* – Adjust step-by-step instructions:
• Step 1: “Search for the solution.”
• Step 2: “Download and run the solution.”
• Step 3: “Resolve the issue by yourself.”
• Category Stream* – Define the category section label (e.g., “Choose a category to get the best help for your issue.”).
• Solution Stream* – Update the solutions section label (e.g., “Most Frequently Used Solutions.”).
• Text Color* – Set a color for additional text elements (e.g., #ff0000).

Save the Changes

• Click “Save” to apply the updates.

Verify the Updates

• Refresh the Home Page to ensure the new settings are reflected correctly.
